Some weeks ago I wasn't so sure if I even wanted to go the Backstreet Boys-concert in Leipzig last night. For some reason I just didn't feel the same about them anymore. I liked the last album - but I didn't love it.

I just knew I would regret it if I didn't go, so I bought a ticket. And I'm so glad about it. This was probably the best Backstreet Boys-concert I ever saw. Sadly the arena was almost empty. The capacity is 12.000 - and there were 2.800 people there. So sad. At one point Brian stood on the stage and looked around the arena - first the stands on the left side, then the floor, then the stands on the right side. And he looked truly sad. I really for him at that moment.
But I thought the audience was awesome - at least there were I was standing - 7th row to the right. I was lucky and the fans in front of me weren't that tall and so I could see pretty well. And there were songs during the concert where the audience was singing so loud you couldn't hear the boys anymore, at other times the audience was jumping and screaming. I really enjoyed this.
The spirits of the boys were running pretty high as well (or at least they let it look as if). Nick was joking with everybody. Howie changed a line during "Show me the meaning" and the others were cracking up about it.
I tried to take pictures. But they are blurry and grainy. So no nice concert-pics from me this time. I put the camera away after the second song and could enjoy the concert even more.
The solo's were interesting. I didn't bye Brians album - and now I know once again why not. It's just not "my" music. I won't bye Howie's either. For the same reason. But I really liked Nick and AJ. I think I have to go the Berlin to see the AJ concert there.

When they left the stage for the last time I even teared up a little bit. I'm pretty sure I won't see them again. I don't think there will be another tour. Even though they really looked like they had fun. But I think their time is over - and I'm sure they see this as well. Or if not then they should do a club-tour. Those are more fun anyway.

So if you have the chance to see them live - go there. The concert is really really good.

04/08/08 Berlin Max-Schmeling-Halle
04/09/08 Hamburg Color Line Arena

I think I will go to Leipzig. It's a friday and it's not to far for me. Anyone who want to come? To bad there is no concert in Dresden this time. The last was soo good. We met them at the hotel, made it into the soundcheck-party and were in the front row for the concert. - Sweet memories.
