I love to crochet. But I usually don't have any ideas. But now I found this cardigan. And I kinda want to try to make it. But before I'm allowed to do it, I want to try to knit gaiters for the kids - and for me. I really hat knitting. But I haven't tried it in almost 20 years. So maybe I like it now? I don't know. We'll see ;).

I'm just looking through a catalog looking for pants for the kids. I can't find anything. They are to slim for everything. And the extra-slim pants for girls start not before 128. And the kids are not that tall now. For a regular pants in 122 the hip size is 68 cm. Lena has 57 cm! Paula is even worse (she would need 66 cm and has 53 cm). I don't know what to do this winter.

I'm leaving for our vacation the day after tomorrow. And I still need a lot of stories to read. Could you please link me your favorite J2-stories? Preferable something new. I'm sure there are not a lot of older stories left, I haven't read ;).

I'm going to see the new movie tonight. Funny enough this was a fandom I could resist. I love the books (and I read them more than once or twice), I like the films (I like the books better) - but the fandom was just not for me.

And I know there are a lot of places to discuss J2. But sometimes I want to do it in my own journal. Like today ;). But I know not everybody on my flist wants to read it. So I will create a special filter. I know some of friends who I can add without asking first. But everybody else who wants to read the post(s) - please send a pm.

I have short hair. And I am so bored of my cut right now. I want something new. I want something shiny. I want something - not boring. And I don't know what to do with my hair - at all. I found this photo and I really like the cut and the colors. But I'm not sure. It's probably pretty expensive with all the different colors in it. I always did the coloring myself. But I can't do this myself.

(I'm really in a funk right now. I don't even know why. But sometimes I would love to just crawl in my bed and stay there for the whole day - and today is one of these days. Maybe it's just because I'm to tired. I hardly slept over the weekend.)

I was a bit indifferent about him. I really wasn't sure what to think. But after this:

thekruezerHearing Wentworth Miller may be joining the SUPERNATURAL cast - but he's got to lose 10 pounds to do it, according to my well placed source

I really believe he knows nobody and nothing. This rumour was dismissed weeks ago. Now I'm convinced he is making this stuff up - but reading SPN-gossip-boards.

Schultüte

Lena will have her first day in school this summer. And here the kids get a "Schultüte". I googled, but there is no really translation for the word. But I found a wiki-page about it. Of course I could have bought one. But Lena will go to a school with rather "alternative" kids and parents. And I'm sure most of the kids will have self-made cones. So hubby and I started to make Lena's yesterday. It's a lot harder than I would have thought. We really thought one evening would be enough. But it really isn't. I'm sure we will need at least one more evening. I just hope she will like it.
And then there is still the problem that I don't really know what to put into it. Of course there will the pencil-case with all the pens and pencils she needs - and then we have a ticket for a concert for kids where everybody is supposed to bring a flashlight and be part of the show ("Taschenlampenkonzert") - and of course some sweets. But the cone is still rather empty with this in it.

I just noticed my tags are a mess. I really need to re-organise everything. Is there any tool, that will help (preferable Semagic maybe?) or do I have to do this step by step?

The concert of Polarkreis 18 was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. They are really good and the audience was very good as well. Maybe it was because it was a concert in their hometown. Maybe it was because it was the last concert of their tour. But it was so much fun.
And I'm a little bit in love with the singer of the band. Usually I don't like "high" voices. But his is so beautiful and expressive. I'm really impressed. There are a lot of singers I really like on CD's, but I'm often disappointed when I hear them live. But Felix is even better live!
What I really loved about the concert: there were really quiet parts when everybody just listened to Felix sing with no or just very little background music and then there were really loud and dynamic parts with the whole band and really good rock-music.
And I noticed one thing: the songs from "The Colour of Snow" are very different from those of the first album. I have to admid I still don't have the first album (I just couldn't find a anywhere here). And there was a noticeable difference between the songs I knew (latest album) and the others. Thanks to Amazon I will listen to it tonight :).

So if you ever have the chance to see them live: Do it! They are really good. - No better.

I would love to link to some Youtube-Clips from "our" concert. But there are none :(. I will wait a few days longer. If there are still none then, I will link some from the other concert concert in Dresden two weeks ago.

Just to give you an idea how they can be live:

And here video to show you just how good Felix is live :).

Since I'm at home: I haven't read a lot of J2-fiction during the last weeks. What did I miss? What should I read ASAP?

Okay, I start spamming you ;).

My German friends probably heard of them. Or maybe not. But right now I can't get enough of Polarkreis 18. And funny enough - my kids either. Especially Paula listens to the same song again and again and again. If you want to know what song I'm talking about -> Allein Allein.

I might be a little biased since they are from my hometown. But I think their music is really something else - you really should give it a try :).

I might be the only one - but I haven't seen the following pictures before:

[Jared and Chad backstage at the 2006 Teen Choice Awards], [one more] [and a third].

And he stole Sam's clothes back than as well :).

edit: I found more :).
[Jared, Jensen, Chad and Tom - all in one picture at the CW Upfront-After party.]

Just some random stuff:

I did it again: I cooked jam. I don't even like jam. I just love cooking it. Today it was strawberry (from my own garden ;)), last week it was elder-jelly. I'm afraid I have gifts for a lot of people again ;).

Netherlands won against Italy. Yeah! For some reason I don't like the teams of Italy and France. So I'm kinda happy that the Netherlands won :).

AND: Big Bang started today. This means a lot of really awesome stories to read in the next weeks. Yeah :).
